Oxford Immune Algorithmics is Part of the UAE and Hub71’s World Tour to #LondonTechWeek and #VivaTech in Paris.

This past week represented a significant one for Oxford Immune Algorithmics (OIA). The U.K.-based start-up participated in a Hub71 World tour, that included tech events in London (https://londontechweek.com/) and Paris (https://vivatechnology.com/), visits to UAE and foreign embassies and other exciting networking events. OIA was selected as one of ten out of 130 from Hub71 Start-ups, UAE’s tech ecosystem, attending as part of the Hub71 delegation.

OIA’s CEO, Dr Hector Zenil, was invited to the UAE embassy in London and Paris to participate in meetings with international investors and local authorities. The week’s events began at LondonTechWeek (LTW), the UK’s tech flagship event, designed to showcase the UK’s unique and vibrant tech scene. It brought together 20,000+ global government and corporate leaders, inspirational Start-up founders, senior investors, and rising tech stars to discuss technology’s potential for societies. The healthcare focus at LTW focused on a move towards patient-centric health care. London Tech Week also included a talk by Sajid Javid, MP and Secretary of State for Health and Social Care. He outlined the NHS’s plans to go digital and announced a new budget for this purpose. Linda Avey, the co-founder of the 23andme, highlighted trends the genetics and health tech giant anticipates for the future.

The week’s events culminated at VivaTech in Paris, a global catalyst for digital transformation and Startup growth. Its focus is on #innovation and technology playing a decisive role in building a more sustainable and inclusive society with a positive impact. As Europe’s largest and most well-attended tech event, #VivaTech hosted influential speakers, including Binance’s CEO, Changpeng Zhao, Ethereum’s founder, Vitalik Buterin, and Deep Learning pioneer Prof. Yann Lecun. Prof Lecun highlighted how AI model-driven approaches, like those developed by Oxford Immune Algorithmics for its Algocyte solution, are needed to address future challenges.

Thanks to Hub71 for organising the week of events for the Start-up delegation, with special thanks to team members Elodie Robin, Head of Strategy & Growth; Helen Bashir, Sen.
