Oxford Immune Algorithmics’ (OIA) Founder Invited to ‘Founder’s Forum’ Event during London’s Tech Week.
An exceptional experience was planned for a select group of tech Startup founders last week in London. The Founder’s Forum & Mubadala Capital Ventures hosted a special Founder’s Forum event celebrating London’s Tech Week. The event aimed to “accelerate the positive impact of technology on the planet, champion curiosity and the entrepreneurial spirit while recognizing disruptors in the industry”. Last week’s event featured a fireside chat between Founders Forum’s Co-Founder and Executive Chair, Mr. Brent Hoberman, and the Head of Ventures & Growth Mubadala Capital Ventures, Mr. Ibrahim Ajami. Both hosts bring a wealth of knowledge and experience in business and technology. Mr. Hoberman’s enterprises have raised more than $1bn in sales, and Mr. Ajami manages a portfolio of more than $232bn across six continents and multiple industries.
Last week’s event was no exception and brought some of the most inspirational founders, global leaders, CEOs, and investors to the by-invitation-only event. Founder’s Forum and Mubadala Ventures were hosts to a select group of startup leaders in London’s historic Royal Academy of Arts venue, with OIA’s founder, Dr. Hector Zenil among them. The dinner took place among paintings by renowned painters such as J.M.W. Turner.
The Founders Forum fosters global leadership among startups, assembling high calibre guests, many of whom are speakers in their own right. Last week’s event provided invitees with unique opportunities to interact with some of the industry’s most influential leaders. Events are curated and planned in a dynamic environment to ensure guests network and engage in conversations with top business executives.
Founders Forum began in 2005 and is a not-for-profit, event-powered community. It brings together top, world-class speakers to curated events that deliver high-value content in the tech environment and beyond. Its mission is to create the perfect ecosystem for collaboration and was established as a response to the lack of credible, peer-to-peer European entrepreneur networks to rival those in Silicon Valley. The community first convened to share ideas and forge new collaborations through a 50-person event in London. Founders come together with investors, corporate and government leaders to discuss the future of industries, new technologies and business models.
Mubadala Ventures, who co-hosted the event, is a global ventures platform. Its mission is to partner early with visionary founders to build enduring technology companies and support them by bringing Mubadala’s scale, resources, and capital to bear. Based in the world’s leading technology hubs, and together with an international network, the Ventures platform is uniquely positioned to support the founders building tomorrow’s leading companies. It manages more than $9bn, including two early-stage venture funds in Abu Dhabi, San Francisco, and London, and is active in investments in advanced technology globally.
